Simplifying tax for freelancers and SMEs

You could be forgiven for thinking the government is only interested in Brexit and leadership contests at the moment.

But there are other things going on behind the scenes.

I didn’t spot this last month, but the Office of Tax Simplification (yes – there really is one) is looking at ways of making it easier for self-employed people to pay tax while reducing paperwork.

It’s at the consultation stage, so do feel free to tell them what you think before the end of next month.
