How to get an LP10 letter (AKA Lorimer letter or ‘special letter’)
If you get a lot of short term PAYE work (eg dailies or weeklies) you might be able to get an LP10 from HMRC. This allows the employer to pay you ‘gross’ effectively treating you like a sole trader.
This is useful as it stops you being overtaxed as you go along.
