Self-employment Income Support Scheme indicator

Last Updated on 27 September 2021

Our own very basic indicator helps you get a feel for what the government SEISS scheme might provide as a taxable grant.

Below you can see the version which needs one years-worth of sole trader profit information from the year 2019-20.

If you registered as a sole trader in the tax year 2019/20 you will receive SEISS grant 5 based on 80% of profits for 2019/20. If you registered as a sole trader in previous years the level of grant will be 80% or 30% depending on how your turnover was affected by the pandemic.

If you have four years of tax return information click here to use a different calculator >

If you have three years, click here >

If you have two years, click here >

Refresh your browser to reset the calculator.

Remember, this is very approximate. It doesn’t mean this is what you will get. It’s just an indicator.

NB: None of your data is saved. This calculator is completely anonymous.
