I’ve just noticed that Jane Ellison MP, formerly Financial Secretary to the Treasury, was taking the lead on introducing Making Tax Digital, the big HMRC project to introduce digital quarterly reporting.
Yes – that Jane Ellison. The one who lost her Battersea seat last Thursday night.
I wonder if Making Tax Digital will undergo any changes when her replacement moves in.
